No New Posts Crystal Caves

The largest of the explored cave systems found in the East it is named for the beautiful crystal and rock formations found in its cavernous caves. It is also one of the few places where one can see some of the pure magic of Avalon, the caves all holding different wonders seen no where else.

No New Posts The Shoreline

Rocky and steep with many cliffs this is no place to take a dip, the rough currents would slam you into the rocks hard enough to crush your body. Still the view is like no other, especially the sunrise over that endless ocean. Only here could a person on Avalon see such a thing since everywhere else on the island the mountains block this magnificent view.

No New Posts The Tundra

A wide expanse of flat snow and ice covered land. The few bodies of water here are frozen over almost all year long and only are released during the short spring where the whole tundra turns green for a few weeks then back to the white desolation. While there is very little plant life some still exists and there is also a selection of animals living among the snow. From polar bears to snow hares things here are adjusted to their winter wonderland.

No New Posts Mountains & Foothills

The ground begins to rise from the flat tundras and turns eventually into giants of stone and snow. Spread throughout these monoliths are the caves and valleys where life finds it easier to survive than on the mountain face to be struck by the icy winds and risk the avalanches and blizzards.

No New Posts East Ruins

Like the other three this ruin stands in the center of the frozen land untouched by the forces around it. This one is a little different only in that it is also the location of the spring which beging the river that feeds Lake Abluo. The water seems to come out from all the edges of the circular platform forming a slight fountain moat combination of icy water around it but the monument itself is never effected by this continuous flow of water.

Board Description
Eastern Region
The region of ice and snow, flat and steep. When approaching from the east the first thing you meet is the cold tundra which is covered in ice and snow almost the whole year long with only a brief spring before going straight back into winter again. Once you have crossed the nearly empty tundra you will come to the foot hills and then quickly from those the mountains. High and steep many of the mountains are covered in snow all year round. Still there are pockets within these mountains where life grows in abundance, small valleys in between mountains fed on melt water and flourishing. The problem is getting to them since passes through the mountains are rare to nonexistent as avalanches can change the surroundings in an instant. Also within these mountains are many caves and extensive cave systems. The only problem is what might be living in those caves. Wyvrens, bears, perhaps even a dragon. It is almost safer to just stay out in the cold. Once all the mountains have been gotten past you finally reach the rocky shores and can see the sun rising over the large and violent waves which cover everything in spray. Often large seaweed is also swept up from the kelp beds growing off shore which along with the rocks make this a very difficult place to sail through.
